TIMS

There is a disease. I call it the 'Typical Indian Man Syndrome' ("TIMS"). By definition, it means that no matter how well educated, knowledgable or well read an Indian woman is, the person suffering from TIMS always thinks he knows better.

TIMS only attacks males, typically a male Indian. A TIMS sufferer will not react the same way to a man, or to a woman of a different race. Many people I know suffer from this - my former bosses (male, Indian of course!), my younger brother, my oldest friend, and to a certain extent, my father. However, there are also some who are somehow immune to this disease - for example, my older brother and my friend Philip.

I am now embarking on a solo journey half way around the world. I will witness first hand the language, culture, attitude and lifestyle of the people in these countries. But be rest assured that upon my return, the TIMS sufferers will claim to know more about these countries than what I myself have experienced and witnessed first hand.

There is no cure for TIMS.
