Then I took an elevator where there was more nice scenery of the waterfalls, up close. There was an option to take a helicopter ride over the waterfalls, but I didn't do that because I didn't think it was worth it - USD120 for a 12 minute ride!
After that we headed back by bus to the entrance, and then, I was dropped off at the Foz do Iguazu bus station. It was about 2 pm, and the next bus to São Paulo was at 6 pm. So I had to wait 4 hours. While I had dried off after getting wet thanks to the Devil's Throat, I felt like I was coming down with a cold. A combination of lack of sleep and over exertion, for sure! While I was waiting at the station, as usual a dog kept me company (I am serious) although he was asleep most of the time. I also met an interesting man, Mr. Isa, he is Lebanese but living in Bulgaria and working in Brazil. We talked for almost 4 hours, mainly about politics and religion. He taught me a few words in Portuguese which will be useful for me for sure! I thought about what I had said earlier, that God is looking out for me through dogs and people like Mr. Isa. It's a comforting thought.
Then I took the 6 pm bus. I had a running nose by then, and wasn't feeling too good so I took 2 piritons and went to sleep, until I was woken up rudely by the girl in front of me who pushed her seat all the way down until it was resting on my knees! The tickets we bought were for fully reclining seats, but that doesn't mean I have to be uncomfortable so that she could be comfortable! So I told her that her seat was too low, and she argued with me at first telling me that she paid for a fully reclining seat, and I told her that I also paid for the same bloody ticket and my legs need some space to move and so on and so forth until she finally move her seat up so that I could at least move my legs. Come on! This is a bus after all, you don't need your seat to recline 180 degrees!
At some point in the journey, I took another piriton, and then another, but it did not seem to work.
