Took the tram to the bus station, to Zurich! So far I found that a trolley bag could’ve worked just as well and probably has more space to squeeze stuff in. I’m having a hard time getting stuff in and out of my backpack. So far, I still prefer trolley bag. Maybe backpack can be for Africa.
I was quite disappointed that they didn’t stamp my passport. Now all I have are pictures and my word that I was indeed in Zurich. Zurich is the biggest city in Switzerland with a population of about 450,000. But it’s not the capital; that honour goes to Berne which is the fourth largest city, Basel the third and Geneva the second.
As usual we had to figure out the buses the trams and the trains but the Swiss are much more helpful and friendly compared to the Germans so we figured it out quite fast. After checking in, we t around town for a bit, bought some groceries and then headed back. My friend cooked rice and curry. It’s like we never left Malaysia! We also tried some Swiss beer, Hell Quollfrisch and Tell.
The weather here today is not as cold as Munich, the temperature during the day is still 15 degrees Celsius but it is sunny which always helps. From what little I saw of Switzerland today, I think it’s a beautiful country full of colour and life.
